In the late 19th century, accountants wore green eye shades. Their attention to detail was so acute… and the shades lessened eye strain against candles and early incandescent lights.

But today’s government bean counters shouldn’t trouble themselves with details while reviewing a copy of the Green New Deal, the proposed environmental legislation co-authored by NY congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

I mean, why let details like how to pay for it get in the way? The socialist left doesn’t seem to.
